Asbestos in Soil Assessment

JBS&G was engaged to undertake a detailed site historical review and develop a conceptual site model (CSM) in order to undertake a quantitative assessment of asbestos in soil at a former industrial facility impacted with asbestos.  The investigations involved a gravimetric assessment of the nature and form of asbestos in soil in accordance with relevant WHS requirements, leading to the development of appropriate management protocols including  well documented asbestos register and ongoing Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) to enable the continued safe use and occupation of the facility.  The works were undertaken under close scrutiny of the relevant regulatory bodies and JBS&G’s experienced team of occupational hygienists were able to satisfy all stakeholders concerns.
