Nathan Cussen

Nathan Cussen is a Principal Environmental Consultant at JBS&G’s Sydney office and serves as the National General Manager of Growth for Contaminated Land Management. With over 15 years of experience in environmental management, he specialises in contaminated land assessment, remediation, monitoring, auditing, and due diligence.

Nathan has worked on a diverse range of projects across Australia, tailoring his approach to address site-specific environmental challenges and deliver successful outcomes. His expertise spans investigations of service stations, landfills, Defence facilities, infrastructure projects, local and state government sites, market gardens, service utility depots, urban redevelopment, and commercial/industrial properties.

As a senior leader at JBS&G, Nathan plays a key role in developing strategic plans, managing project procurement and delivery, designing remedial solutions, and liaising extensively with clients and regulators. He also provides technical peer reviews, facilitates community and stakeholder consultations, oversees contract management, and prepares detailed reports.
