Katy Fechner
Katy is a Principal consultant based in Adelaide. She leads the Southern Region Assessment and Approvals team, covering South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.
Katy is highly experienced in leading environmental approvals and feasibility studies within sensitive social contexts, specialising in delivering complex projects in the mining and energy sector. She is able to draw on significant experience in approvals project management, from early feasibility and site selection all the way through to environmental approvals and feasibility studies, operations and finally rehabilitation and decommissioning. Katy has worked on large and complex projects across many industrial sectors, including mining and renewable energy, from both within industry and consulting.
Katy holds a Bachelor of Laws, as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Management and is currently completing a Professional Certificate in Nuclear Law. Katy is experienced in environmental project approvals and strategic advisory, project planning and management, government agency interactions, feasibility studies, stakeholder management, land access and community engagement.
These skills have meant Katy has become a trusted advisor to both government agencies and companies in regard to overall approval strategy, providing strategic approvals advice for both public and private infrastructure, renewable energy and mining clients and projects across the Southern region.
